Project Findings and Resources from the Texas National Highway System Update
Between 2018-2021, TxDOT, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the National Highway System in Texas to identify changes needed to reflect current use and needs in Texas.
This site serves as a resource for MPOs and their transportation agency partners and stakeholders, detailing presentations, fact sheets, and links to external dashboards detailing key findings of this project effort to update the Texas National Highway System. The below table contains links to project deliverables which serve as resources, along with information on the type of resource, and primary contact for further questions.
While the Templates and Methodology document are finalized, the NHS Summary draft contains placeholder links to a System Summary Dashboard that is still being finalized in coordination with the Statewide GIS Group. An updated link for the System Summary Dashboard will be provided shortly.
